Position Overvi
ewYou design and build scalable backend services that power an AI-driven platform trusted by thousands of dental practices daily. You own meaningful technical problems end-to-end while mentoring junior engineers and driving code quality standards. You collaborate directly with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable impact on practice revenue and patient care outcome

Role & Responsibilit
ies• Design and develop backend services and APIs in Django/Python with focus on performance, reliability, and maintainabil
ity• Own the data layer including designing efficient PostgreSQL schemas, query tuning, and managing migrations via SQLAlchemy and Alem
bic• Implement robust CI/CD pipelines with Git branching strategies, automated build/test/deploy, and safe rollba
cks• Optimize runtime performance through Redis caching strategies and Nginx reverse proxying for high through
put• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practi
ces• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and operations teams to translate requirements into executable technical soluti
ons• Drive code quality through rigorous code reviews and adherence to engineering standa
rds
Must Have Crit
eria• 6+ years of software development experience with deep expertise in Python and Django frame
work• Bachelor's/Master's degree from IITs, IIMs, or equivalent Tier 1 institutions (BITS, NIT, I
IIT)• Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical decision-making proce
sses• Strong PostgreSQL expertise including schema design, indexing, transactions, and performance tu
ning• Hands-on experience with SQLAlchemy ORM and Alembic for database migrations and schema versio
ning• Production experience with VOIP/SIP technologies such as Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, Twilio, or similar SIP server implementat
ions• Practical experience with Redis caching strategies and Nginx configuration for high-traffic applicat
ions
Nice to
Have• Cloud-native delivery experience with Docker/Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code prac
tices• Observability and monitoring expertise with metrics, logging, and distributed tracing sy
stems• Experience with NoSQL databases and understanding of when to apply them alongside relational s
tores• Healthcare or SaaS domain experience with understanding of compliance and data security require
