Sr. Engineer – Software Engineering (Database Development)
Location: Bangalore (Hybrid – Once a week WFO)
Experience: 8–12 Years

Are you passionate about data engineering, SQL performance, and Azure-based transformations? We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to lead large-scale data migration and modernization initiatives within our enterprise ecosystem.
What You’ll Do:
• Lead end-to-end data migration projects from on-prem SQL Server to Azure SQL platforms
• Plan and execute migration strategies including analysis, dry runs, cutovers, and hypercare
• Develop and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects
• Perform deep performance tuning (execution plans, indexing, deadlocks, I/O optimization)
• Design scalable data models using normalization, denormalization & dimensional modeling
• Build robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory
• Manage data storage in Azure Data Lake (ADLS Gen2)
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for database deployments
• Ensure monitoring, alerting, and reliability using Azure Monitor & Log Analytics
• Drive data archival, retention strategies, and compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data systems
What We’re Looking For:
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (development + performance tuning)
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Managed Instance & ADLS Gen2
• Experience in Azure Database Migration Service & large-scale data migrations
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, SSDT & release management
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and reliability engineering in Azure
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
