Job Purpose:
The Software Engineer – Corporate Systems is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise applications that enable core business operations. This role primarily supports the Corporate Systems team, with a strong focus on managing, maintaining, and extending the company’s ERP platform.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, functional analysts, and other engineers to deliver business enhancements, resolve operational issues, and ensure the reliability and scalability of ERP-based solutions. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is essential, with exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365, AI-assisted development, and test automation considered a strong plus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
ERP Application Development & Support
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enhancements to the company’s ERP system
• Provide day-to-day technical support for existing business operations, including troubleshooting and resolving application issues
• Maintain and enhance integrations between the ERP and other corporate systems
• Ensure ERP solutions meet performance, reliability, and security standards
Business Enhancements
• Partner with business stakeholders and functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Deliver new features and improvements that support evolving business processes
• Participate in solution design, technical reviews, and impact assessments for proposed changes
Technical Excellence & Collaboration
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established development standards
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices
• Collaborate effectively with engineers, analysts, QA, and operations teams
• Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies clearly to team members and stakeholders
Automation & Innovation • Explore and apply AI-based tools or techniques to improve development efficiency and automation (where appropriate)
• Stay current with best practices in ERP development, Microsoft technologies, and enterprise systems
• Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications: Minimal qualifications required in order to be considered for entry into the job
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Professional experience developing and supporting enterprise applications
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX in a development or support role
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong understanding of ERP application architecture and business process support
• Experience with version control systems and modern development workflows
• Proficiency in Microsoft-based development environments
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Experience leveraging AI tools for software development or automation
• Experience with test automation frameworks and automated quality practices
