Architecture & Technical Leadership
● Architect and design distributed, cloud-native applications on GCP (GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Pub/Sub)
● Lead technical design sessions and contribute innovative solutions using latest technologies
● Mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance
Backend Engineering
● Build scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI preferred, Flask)
● Implement real-time communication via WebSocket and HTTPS for live streaming and bidirectional data flow
● Design event-driven architectures using Kafka, Google Pub/Sub, and RabbitMQ
● Configure and maintain API Gateway (APIGEE) for routing, security, rate limiting, and analytics
● Integrate SSO authentication (Azure AD, Okta, Auth0) with OAuth2, SAML, and OpenID Connect
Frontend Engineering
● Develop responsive, high-performance UIs with React, TypeScript, and modern state management
● Implement cookie-based authentication, secure session management, and token storage
● Build complex routing with React Router for role-based navigation across multiple components
● Leverage Context API effectively for global state, authentication context, and API integration
● Ensure seamless backend-to-frontend integration with proper error handling and loading states
Data & Database Excellence
● Design and optimize schemas across MongoDB (NoSQL), PostgreSQL/MySQL (relational), and BigQuery (analytics)
● Apply advanced optimization: query tuning, indexing strategies, aggregation pipelines, partitioning, caching
● Build data pipelines for real-time streaming and large-scale analytics
DevOps & Infrastructure
● Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes (GKE)
● Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform (IaC)
● Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Google Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
● Implement security best practices: encryption, CORS, CSRF protection, secret management
Observability & Troubleshooting
● Set up centralized logging and monitoring with Elasticsearch and Kibana
● Implement distributed tracing and APM (Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Monitoring)
● Troubleshoot complex issues across frontend, backend, databases, infrastructure, and integrations
● Optimize application performance: database queries, API latency, frontend load times, bundle sizes
Quality & Testing
● Implement comprehensive testing: unit (Jest, pytest), integration, and E2E (Cypress, Playwright)
● Maintain high test coverage and integrate automated testing in CI/CD pipelines
● Champion code quality through reviews and best practices
