Role Description The Senior Software Engineer role at PYAAS is a full-time hybrid position based in Saket, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that support supply chain transparency, product traceability, and customer-facing platforms. The Senior Software Engineer will write clean, scalable code, review code from other team members, and collaborate with product, operations, and data teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include building APIs and services, optimizing performance and reliability, ensuring security and data integrity, and integrating with third-party tools and internal systems. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers, contributing to architectural decisions, and supporting continuous improvement of engineering practices and workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building production-grade applications.
- Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and database integration.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
- Experience with modern backend languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, Go, or similar).
- Comfort working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, and designing scalable data models.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and document technical decisions effectively.
- Prior experience in building systems for supply chain, e-commerce, or data-driven platforms is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
