About MiGynae
MiGynae is a pregnancy tracking and maternal health app built by founders with backgrounds in data science and clinical gynecology. Our mission is to make evidence-based pregnancy guidance accessible to every expectant mother in India and beyond. We're live on the App Store and Google Play with ~10k users and growing fast.
We're a lean, high-agency team that moves quickly. You'll work directly with the founders and own meaningful parts of the product.
The Role
We're looking for a mid-level Flutter + Firebase engineer (2–4 years) who builds with quality, thinks at scale, and brings genuine product curiosity to the table. You won't just be executing tickets — you'll be brainstorming solutions with the founders, owning features end-to-end, and shaping how MiGynae grows.
We are an AI-first team. We actively encourage using AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) to learn, debug, and build faster. You don't need to have done everything before — but you should have enough experience to know the right questions to ask, and the resourcefulness to find the answers.
Some areas we're exploring: an in-app AI assistant for pregnancy Q&A, multi-language support for Hindi and other Indian languages, and smarter notification and content systems. These are directions, not fixed specs — we want someone who can help us think through and build them right.
What You'll Do
- Build high-quality, scalable Flutter features across the app — UI, state management, and performance
- Work with Firebase (Firestore, Cloud Functions, Auth, FCM) for backend logic and real-time data
- Collaborate with founders to brainstorm, scope, and design new features before writing a single line of code
- Integrate third-party APIs and services (AI/LLM APIs, analytics, notifications, etc.)
- Write clean, well-documented Dart/TypeScript code — you care about maintainability, not just shipping
- Use AI tools actively to learn unfamiliar areas, unblock yourself, and move fast without cutting corners
- Think about scale — the app is growing and your code should be ready for 10x the users
What We're Looking For
Must Have:
- 2–4 years of Flutter + Dart development with real shipped apps (App Store and/or Play Store)
- Solid Firebase experience — Firestore, Cloud Functions, Authentication, Cloud Messaging
- Comfortable integrating REST APIs and handling async data flows in Flutter
- Strong state management skills (Riverpod, BLoC, Provider, or similar)
- Genuine product thinking — you can brainstorm a feature, not just build what you're told
- AI-forward mindset — you use AI tools as a core part of how you learn and build
Bonus Points:
- TypeScript experience for Firebase Cloud Functions
- Familiarity with LLM concepts — prompting, context windows, streaming responses, safety filters
- Experience with Flutter i18n / ARB-based localization
- Prior work in health, femtech, or consumer apps targeting Indian users
- Hindi fluency or experience with Indic language support
- Experience with mobile analytics tools (Firebase Analytics, PostHog, Amplitude)
What We Offer
- Work directly with the founders — no layers, no bureaucracy, fast decisions
- Real ownership: you'll shape features from idea to production, not just implement specs
- An AI-first culture where using AI tools to learn and ship is celebrated, not frowned upon
- Meaningful compensation for work that genuinely impacts women's health in India
- Flexible, remote-first setup
- A live product with real users and clear growth momentum
Our Interview Process
We keep it simple and low-pressure. No whiteboard algorithms or trick questions. We want a conversation — tell us about something you've built, walk us through how you'd think about a feature, and let's see if we're a good fit. We value how you think over what you've memorised.
How to Apply
Send us your resume — if it's not up to date, no worries. Share an older version along with a short paragraph on your relevant experience. We care more about what you've actually built than a polished CV.
