Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Mainframe professional with 3 to 5 years of experience in Enterprise COBOL IMS DC and IDMS to support and enhance mainframe applications
Job Description
Work extensively with Mainframe Enterprise COBOL IMS DC and IDMS environments Develop maintain and optimize mainframe applications to meet business requirements Analyze and troubleshoot issues in COBOL programs IMS DC transactions and IDMS databases Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance Document technical specifications and system workflows related to mainframe processes Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards Support production environments by investigating and resolving job failures and system errors Assist in capacity planning and estimation of tasks related to mainframe projects Stay updated with emerging mainframe technologies and best practices within the MAINFRAMECOBOLIMSDCIDMS skill cluster family
Roles and Responsibilities
Design develop and implement solutions using Mainframe Enterprise COBOL IMS DC and IDMS Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications Perform root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables Provide guidance and support to junior team members when necessary Monitor system performance and optimize application throughput Ensure compliance with organizational processes and quality standards Participate in testing activities including unit testing integration testing and user acceptance testing Manage and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines within the 3 to 5 years experience framework
