Senior Software Engineer – Python & Node.js
Processing Partners – Kairossys is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with 4+ years of professional software development experience and strong hands-on expertise in Python and Node.js.

Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications and services.
• Develop robust backend systems using Python and Node.js.
• Design and develop REST APIs and integrate third-party APIs and services.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and production-ready code.
• Work with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Design database schemas, write optimized queries, and troubleshoot database-related issues.
• Debug and troubleshoot application, API, and backend service issues.
• Implement authentication, authorization, validation, error handling, and application security best practices.
• Work with Git-based development workflows and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and other technical teams.
• Review existing systems and contribute to performance, scalability, and reliability improvements.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to software engineering best practices.
Mandatory Skills:
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js.
• Strong understanding of backend application development.
• Strong experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
• Good understanding of asynchronous programming and API architecture.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), data structures, and software design principles.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Experience debugging and troubleshooting production-level applications.
• Good understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, and API security.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Experience with Node.js frameworks such as Express.js or NestJS.
• Experience with Redis, message queues, or background processing.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.
• Experience working with cloud-hosted applications is an advantage.
Candidate Requirements:
• Must be currently located in West Bengal.
• Must be comfortable working on-site in Kolkata.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to independently handle backend development tasks and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
