Key ResponsibilitiesSoftware Development & System Performance
- Design and develop low-latency, high-throughput applications using modern software engineering practices.
- Build scalable, fault-tolerant systems with high availability and minimal downtime.
- Implement multi-threaded and asynchronous processing architectures for real-time data processing.
- Develop event-driven workflows using high-performance messaging technologies.
- Conduct performance profiling, monitoring, debugging, and optimization.
- Work with big-data processing and ETL technologies, including CDC and Amazon Kinesis.
- Optimize applications to handle high transaction volumes and demanding workloads.
Architecture & Technical Expertise
- Design and implement scalable event-driven and distributed architectures.
- Develop robust data processing pipelines for real-time and batch workloads.
- Optimize database queries, indexing, storage, and data-access patterns.
- Leverage AWS cloud-native and serverless technologies to improve scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Implement caching, load balancing, and distributed computing strategies.
- Optimize relational and NoSQL databases for high-volume transactions.
- Collaborate with architects on technical designs, implementation strategies, and architectural decisions.
Cloud, DevOps & Deployment
- Build and deploy applications using AWS cloud services.
- Advocate and implement DevOps best practices, CI/CD automation, and cloud-native deployment strategies.
- Work with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Ensure production systems are observable, reliable, secure, and maintainable.
Collaboration & Agile Development
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, QA Engineers, Architects, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Translate business requirements into scalable and technically sound solutions.
- Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering best practices.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Introduce innovative solutions that improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Promote TDD, continuous integration, performance monitoring, and clean coding practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve development processes, tooling, and team productivity.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of professional software development experience, with strong production experience in distributed systems.
- Strong experience designing and building low-latency, high-throughput applications.
- Strong backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Python or Node.js.
- Deep understanding of multi-threading, asynchronous programming, and event-driven architectures.
- Strong experience with AWS, particularly:
- ECS
- Lambda
- RDS
- S3
- SNS
- SQS
- Strong knowledge of high-performance messaging and streaming technologies such as Amazon Kinesis, Apache Kafka, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
- Experience with Change Data Capture (CDC), Kinesis, real-time ETL, and batch processing.
- Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, or SigNoz.
- Strong understanding of:

- Experience with authentication and authorization platforms such as Auth0.
- Knowledge of data security, privacy, compliance, GDPR, and governance frameworks.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

- Frontend development experience with TypeScript, React, or the broader React ecosystem.
- Experience with serverless architectures and cloud-native application design.
- Experience working with large-scale data engineering and analytics pipelines.
