About This Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.
In This Role, You Will
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications
- Strong years of engineering experience with hands on experience with applications security tools, practices, and frameworks.
- Proficient on secure coding practices with ability to detect, troubleshoot and remediate security vulnerabilities
- App development experience in Java or .NET as well as familiarity with GitHub.
- Proficient on Static Code Scan Systems such as Checkmarx and demonstrate ability to fix SAST defects/vulnerabilities
- Proficient on Software Composition Analysis such as Blackduck
- Familiar with Dynamic Testing Platform such as Burpsuite or Inviciti and demonstrate ability to remediate DAST defects
- Able to articulate security pitfalls to larger engineering community and guidelines /best practices to address the same.
- Should have foundational knowledge on Threat Modeling and Secure Design/Architecture elements
- Thorough understanding on Agile Development standards and best practices including application security tool integration and automation in CI/CD.
- Should have hands on experience to leverage Copilot and create instruction templates to review and detect security vulnerabilities in code
Job Expectations
- Drive adoption of secure coding practices across engineering teams for the group
- Report and track vulnerability remediation for application portfolio
- Review and implement security recommendation in application design and architecture
- Establish instruction templates leveraging Copilot that can be leveraged by developer to detect vulnerabilities early in the development cycle.
- Strong problem-solving skills and be able to apply creativity to improve processes
