JOB SUMMARY
As a Senior Software Engineer - UI, you'll drive the development of our product's UI layer using Next.js and React.js. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality UI solutions that delight our users.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and develop scalable, reusable UI components using Next.js, React.js, and TypeScript
- Implement server-side rendering, static site generation, and client-side rendering using Next.js
- Build responsive, accessible, and performant UI solutions that work seamlessly across devices
- Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences
- Optimise UI performance, debugging, and troubleshooting complex issues
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience in UI development with strong expertise in Next.js and React.js
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript
- Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX)
- Strong understanding of accessibility, responsive design, and web performance optimisation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with UI testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress) and version control systems (e.g., Git)
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with design systems and UI component libraries (e.g., Material-UI, Ant Design or any others)
- Knowledge of GraphQL and Apollo Client
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
- Contributions to open-source projects or personal projects on GitHub
