Job details:
Why this role matters
We're looking for a technical leader who thinks in systems, drives impact across teams, and raises the engineering bar at every level. As a Senior SDET, you'll be the bridge between engineering execution and long-term technical vision, turning ambiguity into clarity and complex problems into elegant solutions. If you're someone who takes ownership, influences without authority, and leaves every codebase better than you found it-this role was built for you.
What you’ll do:
- Manage end to end automation efforts within the Neurons ZTA platform, driving team outcomes and product success as a Senior Software Developer in Test. Manage identification and execution of high priority customer scenarios for E2E automation and validation.
- Build robust REST API and GUI based automation frameworks, continuously improving reliability and scalability for the Neurons ZTA platform.
- Design comprehensive CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks to support daily production runs and continuous testing.
- Partner with development managers, directors, and stakeholders to identify critical features and customer scenarios for E2E automation.
- Lead end to end testing initiatives for new and existing features, ensuring consistent quality across the Neurons ZTA platform.
- Collaborate with SRE, support teams, and cross functional development teams to address critical bugs, improve testing coverage, and support RCA efforts. Collaborate across multiple organizations and engineering teams to support adoption of E2E testing practices and automation standards.
- Advise teams by reviewing automation code, identifying gaps, triaging failures, and recommending fixes to enhance product quality and automation effectiveness.
What you will bring:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science or an equivalent field with 5+ years of relevant industry experience in software testing and automation engineering, demonstrating a strong foundation in engineering principles and quality-driven development practices.
- Proven and extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automation test cases using Python, with a strong focus on code quality, reusability, and scalability across complex systems.
- Deep hands-on expertise in GUI automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Katalon, or similar tools, with the ability to build robust automation frameworks and execute comprehensive test strategies for web-based applications.
- Solid exposure to cloud technologies, including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, with practical understanding of how distributed systems operate in cloud-native environments.
- Strong understanding of performance, scalability, and resilience testing concepts, with the ability to design and execute tests that validate system stability under load, stress conditions, and failure scenarios.
- Good knowledge of modern application architectures such as microservices, along with networking fundamentals. Prior exposure to security-focused products such as VPN, SASE, or Secure Web Gateway is highly valuable.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Agile or Scrum methodologies, enabling seamless integration of automation into continuous delivery pipelines and efficient collaboration across engineering teams.
- Strong teamwork capabilities with excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear articulation of technical concepts, test results, and defect analysis across cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes, troubleshoot complex issues, and propose effective solutions in high-pressure environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, or similar technologies, with the ability to validate data integrity and perform backend testing.
- Working knowledge of additional programming languages such as Go or secondary Python expertise, enabling flexibility in automation development and cross-functional contributions.
Good to Have
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar platforms, leveraging modern capabilities to improve development efficiency and productivity.
- Prior experience working within enterprise SaaS environments, particularly in network security or IT management domains such as VPN, Zero Trust architecture, or secure access solutions.
