Role: Senior Software Developer (7+ years of experience)
Work Engagement: Full Time-Contract (Monday-Friday, 8 working hours/day, Middle East time zone, no moonlighting)

About the role
Responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing in-house portfolio optimization software, whilst maintaining and continuously improving existing software applications.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering or related roles.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, C# or MATLAB.
- Backend: C#, TypeScript, PowerShell, .NET Core, ASP.NET Web API, WCF, LINQ, Entity Framework, gRPC
- Frontend: React, Angular, HTML, CSS/SCSS, Blazor
- Databases: MS SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Sybase
- Cloud: AWS, Azure
- Middleware: Kafka (Amazon MSK), MSMQ, Microsoft Service Bus, TIBCO RV/EMS
- Testing: NUnit, Moq, SpecFlow, Jasmine, Karma, Protractor, Cucumber
- DevOps/CI Tools: Git, JIRA, TFS, Azure, UDeploy, Perforce, TeamCity
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and system design
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset
- Energy Trading experience is a plus
Key responsibilities
- Design and Development: Develop in-house portfolio optimization software applications to support business needs, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Enhancements & Maintenance: Maintain, enhance, and further develop existing software applications by implementing new features, improving functionality, and ensuring system stability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders and other technical teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and deliver high-quality applications.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure robust and secure applications.
- Documentation & Support: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, provide support for end-users, and ensure smooth handover of solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices, applying them to improve existing systems and processes.

8. Please be aware that this is a fulltime contract role until Dec’26, meaning - Mon to Fri, 8 working hrs/day, Middle East/IST time zone (NO weekend/holiday pay). Please acknowledge that you are OK with this.
9. No moonlighting will be entertained. We will not entertain candidates to work for other companies/projects while working on this project. Please confirm if have understood this and can abide by this?
10. As this is a contract role, we DO NOT pay a monthly salary, instead we honour monthly invoice payouts - excluding holidays and weekends. With this in mind, can you please share your CONTRACT RATE/DAY in INR.
11. As this is a contract role, there are NO leaves assigned. Candidate is expected to work Mon-Fri, 8 hrs/day, unless they have informed the team of their absence. Please confirm that you're OK with this.
12. There will be 3-4 rounds of interviews. Each round will be a combination of technical + behavioural + situational. Please acknowledge that you are OK with this.
13. Potential candidates’ will be requested to share their latest 3 payslips. Please acknowledge that you are ok with this.
14. There will be a background verification check conducted on the selected candidates where you'll be asked to enter your UAN number. This is a mandatory step. Please confirm that you are ok with this.
15. A fixed contractual per day rate will be confirmed, and payment for monthly approved timesheets will be made on 15th of the following month. Please confirm that you are ok with this.
