About the Job
Nomura Research Institute Financial Technologies India (NRI FT India) is seeking a Senior SOC Analyst for a full-time, on-site position in Kolkata. This role is designed for a professional with 4 to 8 years of experience in cybersecurity operations and incident response. The Senior SOC Analyst critically leads efforts to maintain a robust security posture. The position requires a proactive approach to monitoring, analyzing security events and executing sophisticated cyber threat hunts to protect the organization’s digital assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Incident Management: Detect, manage, and respond to security incidents using SIEM (ArcSight, Splunk, or Sentinel) and EDR/XDR/MDR tools (CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, MS Defender).
- Alert Analysis: Analyze logs from varied sources, including Firewalls, WAF, AV, Windows, and Unix systems
- Optimization: Author and fine-tune SIEM rules, reports, and parsers to improve detection accuracy.
- Threat Hunting: Utilize internal and external threat intelligence to proactively identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Root Cause Analysis: Lead post-incident reviews and identify automation opportunities to streamline SOC operations.
Technical Qualifications
- Core Tools: Proficiency in SIEM (ArcSight, Splunk, Sentinel, Elastic) and EDR tools.
- Frameworks: Strong knowledge of Network / Infrastructure security
- Bonus: Exposure to Elastic SIEM is highly desirable.
