Senior Snowflake/dbt Data Engineer
Experience: 7-10 Years
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake/dbt Data Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise data modernization initiative involving migration of legacy SAP BODS, SQL, and Informatica IICS workloads into a modern Snowflake and dbt architecture. The engineer will work closely with onshore technical leads to develop scalable, high-performance data pipelines while adhering to enterprise architecture standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop dbt models for staging, intermediate, ODS, and consumption layers.
- Convert legacy SQL, SAP BODS, and IICS transformation logic into dbt models.
- Design modular and reusable dbt macros and transformation frameworks.
- Optimize Snowflake SQL performance and warehouse utilization.
- Implement data transformation best practices using ELT architecture.
- Create technical documentation, lineage, and source-to-target mappings.
- Participate in code reviews and deployment activities.
- Support migration validation and reconciliation.
