Job details:
If you have ever received a client’s “final” artwork and had to rebuild it so a CNC router could actually cut it, this role was written for you.
A U.S.-based signage company is hiring a full-time, dedicated Senior Signage Production Designer. We are looking for someone who works confidently in Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW and understands exactly what a production file needs before it reaches the CNC router, laser cutter, or large-format printer.
This is not a general graphic design, branding, or social media design position. You must have real experience preparing signage files for fabrication and production.
What You’ll Do
- Build accurate, production-ready vector files for CNC routing, laser cutting, and large-format printing
- Prepare complete signage specification packages, including dimensions, materials, finishes, colors, mounting methods, and installation details
- Create production files for ADA-compliant signage, including Grade 2 Braille, raised lettering, tactile elements, and proper spacing
- Prepare artwork for murals, wallpaper, acrylic cutouts, dimensional lettering, vinyl graphics, and custom signage
- Review client artwork and rebuild or correct files when they are not suitable for production
- Check measurements, scaling, bleeds, cut paths, color specifications, and material requirements before files are released
- Coordinate with the U.S. production team to clarify specifications and resolve fabrication issues
- Maintain organized file structures, naming conventions, revisions, and production documentation
What We’re Looking For
- At least 5 years of experience working inside a signage, sign fabrication, or large-format printing company
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or similar vector design software
- Hands-on understanding of CNC routing, laser cutting, vinyl cutting, large-format printing, and signage fabrication
- Experience creating detailed signage specification packages and production drawings
- Experience preparing ADA signage files, including Grade 2 Braille and raised tactile lettering
- Ability to identify and correct artwork that is not suitable for fabrication
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Ability to work full-time and communicate with a U.S.-based team
Important
We are specifically looking for a production designer with signage fabrication experience.
A portfolio focused mainly on logos, branding, advertisements, websites, or social media graphics will not be sufficient.
Candidates who provide samples of signage specification packages, fabrication drawings, ADA signage files, CNC-ready files, or other production work will receive priority consideration.
