Experience:
- Cooking: 1 year preferred
- Restaurant experience: 1 year preferred
Requirements
- Prepare and serve meals for seniors in a Memory Care setting
- Current Food Handler Card or ability to obtain one upon hire
- Previous cooking experience preferred
- Restaurant or senior living experience is a plus
- Ability to work well as part of a close-knit team
- Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented
Summary
The Cook performs his/her duties under the direct supervision of the Dining Services Director. S/he performs a variety of food services/cooking, such as, but not limited to:
- Prepares meals for up to 40 residents
- Understands and follows proper food handling and storage procedures
- Dishwasher (will train)
- Check in deliveries and stocking
- Cross training for additional shifts in other positions depending on ability
