About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain a governed CMDB aligned with CSDM (v4/v5)
- Model CIs, assets, relationships, and lifecycles correctly
- Define and enforce identification, reconciliation, and normalization rules
- Implement and manage Discovery, Service Graph Connectors, and integrations
- Assess data quality, coverage, and impact of incomplete data
- Support SAM Pro and ITAM, including normalization, entitlements, and lifecycle alignment
- Contribute to the Configuration Management Plan (CMP)
- Define ownership models and data quality guardrails
- Develop platform logic using Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub
- Create dashboards and reports to monitor data quality
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with CMDB, CSDM, ITAM, and SAM
- Deep understanding of configuration management principles
- Experience with ServiceNow Discovery and integrations
- Ability to design data models, not just configure the platform
- JavaScript (ServiceNow server-side)
- REST APIs, Import Sets, Transform Maps, and IRE
- Experience working in complex enterprise environments
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CSDM v5 adoption
- Exposure to OT or non-traditional IT assets
- Experience with SaaS management and Service Graph Connectors
- ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CIS Discovery, CIS ITAM/SAM)
