Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our Enterprise Service Management team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise across multiple ServiceNow modules, experience leading complex implementations, and the ability to mentor junior developers while driving platform innovation.
This role will be responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and enhancing the ServiceNow platform with a primary focus on Discovery, CMDB, Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), IT Asset Management, Custom Apps, integrations, and platform governance.
Good to have knowledge about ServiceNow AI capabilities like Now Assist, skills, AI control Tower, LLM, Knowledge graph, Workflow data fabric and Chatbot.
Key Responsibilities
ServiceNow Platform Development
- Design, develop, configure, and maintain scalable ServiceNow solutions.
- Build custom applications, workflows, Flow Designer solutions, integrations, and automation.
- Follow ServiceNow development best practices and platform governance standards.
- Perform code reviews and ensure high-quality deliverables.
ServiceNow Discovery & CMDB
- Maintain ServiceNow Discovery.
- Configure and support Pattern-Based Discovery.
- Manage and troubleshoot Cloud Discovery.
- Configure and maintain Graph Connectors for:
- Microsoft Azure
- Cisco Meraki
- Juniper
- Improve CMDB health, reconciliation, identification rules, and CSDM alignment.
- Drive CMDB governance and data quality initiatives.
Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM)
- Configure and support:
- Demand Management
- Project Portfolio Management
- Resource Management
- Time Cards
- Financial Management
- Support portfolio planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Work with business stakeholders on enhancement requests.
IT Asset Management
- Support Hardware Asset Management (HAM).
- Enhance asset lifecycle automation.
- Support procurement and receiving integrations.
- Maintain software and hardware asset processes.
Integrations
Develop and support integrations with enterprise applications using:
- REST APIs
- SOAP APIs
- IntegrationHub
- MID Server
- Import Sets
- Transform Maps
Experience with integrations such as:
- Azure
- Active Directory
- Calero
- Workday
- Other enterprise platforms
Platform Governance
- Maintain platform performance and stability.
- Participate in platform upgrades.
- Support release management.
- Perform root cause analysis for production issues.
- Ensure compliance with platform development standards.
Technical Leadership
- Mentor junior developers.
- Lead technical design discussions.
- Review solution architecture.
- Support estimation and technical planning.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5–7 years of overall IT experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
- Experience delivering multiple end-to-end ServiceNow implementations.
Preferred Certifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Certified Implementation Specialist – ITSM
- Certified Implementation Specialist – Discovery
- Certified Implementation Specialist – SPM (preferred)
- ITIL Foundation
