Senior ServiceNow Developer – Service Assurance

About The Role
We are seeking an experienced
Senior ServiceNow Developer with 7+ years of overall IT experience and strong hands-on expertise in ServiceNow development. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing solutions within the
Service Assurance stream, while strengthening ITSM, ITOM, and CMDB capabilities.
This role requires deep technical expertise in ServiceNow platform development along with strong process understanding of IT Service Management and Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and customize solutions within the Service Assurance stream on the ServiceNow platform
- Build and enhance ServiceNow applications using Glide APIs, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer, and Workflows
- Work closely with the Service Assurance Squad, product owners, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Implement and optimize Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB integrations
- Maintain and enhance CMDB data model, governance, and data health
- Support and improve ITSM and ITOM processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, Event, and Asset Management
- Develop and execute ATF (Automated Test Framework) test cases to ensure quality and stability
- Perform system integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and MID Server
- Troubleshoot performance issues and implement platform best practices
- Provide technical documentation and mentor junior developers
Key Skills & Technical Expertise ServiceNow Development
- Strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow scripting (Glide, JavaScript, APIs)
- Experience developing custom applications and scoped apps
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow data architecture
Modules Expertise
- Deep understanding of ITSM and ITOM modules
- Strong experience with Discovery and Service Mapping
- Strong expertise in CMDB design, implementation, and governance
- Experience working within Service Assurance frameworks
Testing & Quality
- Hands-on experience with ATF (Automated Test Framework)
- Experience in code review, unit testing, and deployment best practices
Process Knowledge
- Strong understanding of:
- Service Assurance processes
- ITSM lifecycle
- ITOM operations
- Event Management
Required Experience
- 7+ years of overall IT experience
- 4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional global teams
Good to Have
- ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM, CIS-ITOM)
- Experience in performance analytics or reporting
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
- Experience handling enterprise-scale CMDB implementations
