Experience: 4 to 5 years minimum | Reports to: SEO Manager
About Dare Network, a growth marketing agency working with D2C and B2B clients across India, the GCC, the UK, and the US. We run performance marketing, SEO, web development, and content. ~28 people across Kochi and Bengaluru.
About the role: You'll own a portfolio of 4 to 6 client accounts end-to-end. For each account, you are the owner: strategy, execution, client conversations, reporting, outcomes. Not an executor waiting for briefs. Not a junior who needs a manager reviewing every deliverable. You already know what good SEO looks like and can run it without supervision.
If you need a senior to tell you whether to prioritise a technical fix or a content gap, this role isn't for you.
What you'll own
Strategy and planning
- Build 3, 6, and 12-month SEO roadmaps per account
- Define keyword strategy, content priorities, technical priorities, link-building approach
- Set realistic KPIs and timelines (no inflated promises to clients)
Execution
- Technical audits using Screaming Frog, GSC, Ahrefs or SEMrush
- On-page optimisation, internal linking, schema implementation
- Brief content writers and QA before publish
- Coordinate with the dev team on technical fixes (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow)
- Plan link-building or digital PR
- Set up tracking: GA4, GSC, Looker Studio dashboards
Client communication
- Lead monthly performance reviews and quarterly strategy reviews
- Respond to client queries within agreed SLAs
- Manage expectations honestly when results lag or scope shifts
- Handle escalations without pulling in the founder for routine issues
Reporting
- Monthly performance reports per account, no fluff
- Quarterly business reviews with clear next steps
- Internal weekly status updates
Must-haves
- 4 to 5 years of SEO experience, ideally agency-side
- Hands-on across technical SEO, on-page, content SEO, and off-page. You can't outsource your understanding of any of these.
- Proven multi-industry experience. You've worked on D2C and B2B at minimum, and can adapt to a new industry quickly.
- Strong with Ahrefs or SEMrush, GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog, Looker Studio
- Comfortable with WordPress SEO; bonus for Shopify and Webflow
- Case studies or anonymised proof of work: rankings, traffic, lead/revenue impact. We need to see that you've done the work, not just described it on a CV.
- Strong written English. You'll write client emails, reports, and content briefs for founders and CMOs.
- Comfortable on client calls. Most of our clients are founders or CMOs and they'll know within 10 minutes if you're winging it.
Nice-to-haves
- International SEO experience across GCC, UK, or US markets
- B2B manufacturing or SaaS SEO experience
- Working knowledge of GEO/AEO (optimisation for LLM and AI search)
- Experience with HARO, digital PR, or link-building partners
- Has mentored junior SEOs before

90 days
- Visible movement on at least 2 accounts (rankings, traffic, or conversions)
