Job details:
We’re hiring: Senior SEO & AI Search Specialist (SEO / AEO / GEO)
Remote | India | Full-Time
ELAAR Immigration is looking for a highly capable, hands-on organic growth specialist to take ownership of our SEO, AEO and GEO strategy and execution.
This is an individual contributor role with significant ownership.
The person we hire will be expected to:
- Develop the high-level organic growth strategy
- Diagnose performance issues and opportunities
- Execute key SEO/AEO/GEO initiatives personally
- Work closely with developers and internal stakeholders where required
- Measure results and continuously refine the strategy
In short, we are looking for someone who is equally comfortable with strategy and execution.
Who is the ideal candidate?
We are ideally looking for someone with 5–10 years of strong hands-on SEO experience.
Candidates with less than 5 years of meaningful hands-on SEO experience are unlikely to be the right fit for this role.
Professionals with more than 10 years of experience are absolutely welcome to apply, provided they still enjoy being close to the work and are comfortable personally driving execution.
This is not a strategy-only or people-management position.
Strong SEO fundamentals are essential
You should have strong practical experience across areas such as:
- Technical SEO
- On-page optimization
- Search intent
- Internal linking
- Content architecture
- Organic traffic diagnosis and recovery
- Local SEO
- Analytics and performance measurement
- Google Search Console
- GA4
- Ahrefs and/or Semrush
- Screaming Frog or similar tools
We are particularly interested in candidates who have personally diagnosed and recovered significant ranking or organic traffic declines.
AEO / GEO / AI Search
Traditional SEO remains the foundation, but search is evolving rapidly.
We therefore want someone with practical exposure to:
- Answer Engine Optimization
- Generative Engine Optimization
- Google AI Overviews / AI Mode
- ChatGPT
- Perplexity
- Bing Copilot
- AI-search visibility and citation analysis
AEO, GEO and AI search are still evolving, which is exactly why we are looking for someone who stays ahead of the curve.
You should be actively learning, testing, and adopting new tools, workflows, and techniques that can make search work smarter, faster, and more effective.
If you are still approaching SEO entirely through an old-school lens, are not keeping up with how AI is changing search, or are not continuously evolving your own skill set, this role is unlikely to be the right fit.
You do not need to know everything about an ecosystem that is still developing. What matters is that you are curious, adaptive, technically current and already applying what is available today rather than waiting for the industry to settle.
Content understanding matters
This role is not primarily a content-writing position, but strong content intelligence is essential.
You should be able to understand:
- Search intent
- Complex professional content
- Content gaps
- Weak or generic AI-generated content
- Topic structure
- Content briefs
- Authority and trust signals
Because we operate in Canadian immigration, where terminology and nuance matter, strong English proficiency is a core requirement.
Candidates should have at least very good professional written and spoken English, with the ability to understand and communicate complex ideas clearly.
Website migration & technical transition experience
Experience supporting website redesigns, migrations or platform transitions from an SEO perspective would be a strong advantage.
You should understand areas such as URL mapping, redirects, preservation of SEO equity, site architecture, internal linking, indexation, technical SEO and post-launch monitoring.
CRM / HubSpot experience
Hands-on experience with HubSpot or another CRM/marketing automation platform is also desirable, particularly for:
- Organic lead-source tracking
- Conversion analysis
- Landing-page performance
- Attribution
- Connecting search performance to qualified enquiries
Working arrangement
This is a full-time remote position based in India, reporting directly to the Founder in Vancouver, Canada.
We do not expect you to work a full Vancouver/Pacific shift.
However, the role requires regular collaboration with the Canadian team, so you should be comfortable structuring your working day to provide approximately 3–4 hours of overlap with Vancouver business hours.
The remaining working hours can be managed with reasonable flexibility within your India schedule.
What we value most
We are looking for someone who can:
Think strategically. Execute independently. Understand the business behind the traffic. Use data rather than assumptions. Communicate clearly. Take ownership of outcomes.
Compensation: ₹10–15 LPA CTC, depending on experience and demonstrated capability.
Shortlisted candidates will go through a structured screening process and practical assessment.
If this role genuinely matches how you work and where you want to grow, we would be happy to hear from you. You can also apply directly by emailing your resume to work@elaarimmigration.com with the subject line: Senior SEO & AI Search Specialist.
