Role Overview
We are hiring a Sensor Fusion Engineer to develop INS/EKF-based navigation for a low-speed autonomous electric vehicle platform.
You will work with real-world vehicle data, focusing on:
- Improving low-speed heading accuracy
- Handling GNSS outage scenarios
- Fusing GNSS, IMU, and wheel odometry
This role involves system-level development, testing, debugging, and validation in real-world environments, collaborating closely with embedded and DSP/CV teams.
What You’ll Do
- Design & implement Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) for vehicle state estimation
- Fuse GNSS + IMU + wheel odometry
- Improve low-speed heading accuracy (0–10 km/h)
- Implement dead reckoning (GNSS outage handling)
- Model sensor noise (Q/R tuning) and perform replay-based validation
- Build sensor fault detection & health monitoring
- Work on embedded real-time systems (R5F / multi-core IPC)
- Collaborate with DSP/CV team for camera-based correction
Must-Have Skills
- Strong experience in Sensor Fusion / EKF / State Estimation
- Hands-on with GNSS + IMU integration
- Background in Linux-based embedded systems & real-time processing
- Strong foundation in linear algebra & probability
- Proficiency in C/C++ (embedded/system level)
- Experience with real-world datasets / field testing
Good to Have
- Visual Odometry / VIO / SLAM
- ROS / ROS2
- Automotive / robotics / drone navigation
- TI platforms (R5F / DSP / TDA4VM)
Experience
- 3–5 years (strong hands-on experience preferred)
Qualifications
- BE / BTech / MCA / MTech in:
- Robotics
- Computer Science
- Electronics Engineering
- or related disciplines
