We’re hiring a Senior SDET for our client (Code Name: CORE) — a global fintech leader transforming enterprise procurement, finance operations, and cloud-native automation.
As a Senior SDET, you will architect and enhance CORE’s test automation frameworks, implement performance and security testing strategies, and ensure exceptional quality across distributed, microservices-based SaaS systems. You’ll partner closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams to champion shift-left quality engineering and deliver reliable, scalable solutions to CORE’s global enterprise customers.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
● Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for APIs, microservices, and front-end applications using Java, Selenium, and Cucumber (BDD).
● Work closely with product managers, developers, and DevOps teams to ensure end-to-end quality from design to deployment.
● Build and optimise API testing frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline).
● Conduct performance/load testing using Apache JMeter, establish baselines, evaluate results, and identify bottlenecks.
● Implement SAST and DAST testing to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities early in the SDLC.
● Lead defect triage, root-cause analysis, and improvements in reliability and testability.
● Manage test data, environment configuration, and mocking strategies across multiple environments.
● Define test strategies, automation standards, coverage metrics, and quality KPIs aligned with product scalability.
● Build dashboards and analytics views for test results and performance insights.
● Mentor junior QA engineers and SDETs, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and
continuous improvement.
✅ Required Skills & Experience
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
● 8+ years of QA experience with strong emphasis on automation and performance testing
● Deep proficiency in Java, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber (BDD)
● Hands-on experience with API/microservices testing: Postman, REST Assured
● Strong expertise in JMeter (analysis, tuning, reporting)
● Experience with SAST/DAST tools — SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, Veracode, etc.
● Familiarity with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline)
● Understanding of AWS cloud architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes (EKS)
● Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
● Experience working in agile, distributed, cross-functional environments
🌱 Nice to Have
● Experience in testing procurement, financial systems, or enterprise SaaS
● Familiarity with .NET Core and Postgres for deeper debugging and coverage
● Knowledge of OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing and QA observability
● Experience with security frameworks (OWASP Top 10, PCI-DSS)
● Exposure to containerised QA environments and Infrastructure-as-Code
● Contributions to QA communities, frameworks, or open-source projects
