Role Description The Senior Scrum Master Engineer for Canada Opportunities will be responsible for leading agile delivery teams supporting technology initiatives related to immigration and visa consulting services. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Canada, where the individual will facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives while ensuring adherence to Scrum and agile best practices. The role includes refining and managing user stories, coordinating with software development teams, and removing impediments to maintain predictable delivery. The Senior Scrum Master Engineer will collaborate closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and technical staff to align priorities, improve processes, and enhance overall product quality. The individual will also mentor team members, promote continuous improvement, and contribute to the scaling of agile practices across the organization.
Qualifications
- Ability to lead agile ceremonies and backlog refinement, with strong skills in Sprint Planning and managing User Stories.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for interpreting metrics, assessing risks, and driving data-informed decisions.
- Excellent Communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Solid understanding of Software Development practices and life cycle in agile environments.
- Experience working as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, preferably in technology-driven or consulting organizations.
- Relevant certification such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven ability to work in an on-site, collaborative setting, fostering a culture of transparency, ownership, and continuous learning.
