About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master with a strong track record of managing multiple AWS cloud migration programs. This is a hands-on delivery leadership role where you will drive Agile execution across two parallel AWS migration projects, working closely with globally distributed engineering teams, architects, product owners, and customer stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is more than a facilitator—they understand cloud migration programs, proactively remove delivery risks, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure successful execution of complex migration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Agile delivery for two concurrent AWS migration projects, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Partner closely with engineering teams, solution architects, product owners, and customer stakeholders across global time zones.
- Drive sprint execution, backlog refinement, dependency management, and release planning.
- Track project health, delivery milestones, risks, blockers, and escalations while ensuring proactive resolution.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including cloud, infrastructure, application, QA, and DevOps teams.
- Ensure delivery aligns with Agile best practices while meeting business and customer expectations.
- Monitor team capacity, velocity, burn-down metrics, and delivery KPIs.
- Support migration planning, cutover activities, and post-migration stabilization.
- Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across distributed teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years as a Scrum Master.
- Proven experience managing multiple AWS cloud migration or modernization projects simultaneously.
- Strong experience working with globally distributed development teams.
- Hands-on experience coordinating large-scale cloud migration programs involving application, infrastructure, and database migration.
- Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and project delivery methodologies.
- Experience with AWS migration initiatives involving services such as EC2, RDS, Aurora, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, AWS Migration Hub, AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), or AWS DMS.
- Strong stakeholder management, planning, risk management, and dependency tracking skills.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills with the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM, or SAFe Scrum Master certification.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile tools.
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), and cloud delivery best practices.
- Experience working in consulting or client-facing delivery environments.
