Role: Senior SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) Consultant – Tax Specialization

A highly skilled SAP SD Consultant with strong expertise in tax integration, responsible for managing end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes aligned with global and local tax compliance requirements.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead integration of SAP SD/FI with third-party tax engines such as Vertex, ONESOURCE, or Avalara for automated tax determination and compliance.
• Act as a key contributor in global S/4HANA rollouts, ensuring adherence to country-specific legal and statutory tax requirements.
• Configure and manage tax determination rules, tax classifications, GST tax conditions (India), and tax codes.
• Handle SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) for e-invoicing and statutory reporting.
• Design and enhance pricing procedures, including tax-related routines such as reverse calculations and volume-based taxes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, especially tax teams, to translate regulatory requirements into functional specifications.
  
  

Must Have Skills & Experience

• 6–10+ years of experience in SAP SD / Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes
• Strong expertise in SAP SD (Pricing, Billing, Rebates) with integration to FICO and MM
• Hands-on experience with tax engine integrations (Vertex / ONESOURCE / Avalara)
• In-depth knowledge of Indirect Taxes (GST/VAT), Tax Determination, Tax Codes
• Experience in S/4HANA implementations and localization
• Knowledge of GST (India) tax configurations and compliance requirements
• Experience in SAP DRC (Document and Reporting Compliance) / e-invoicing
• Minimum 2–3 full lifecycle SAP implementations (Blueprint to Go-Live)
• Strong stakeholder communication and requirement-gathering skills
  
  

Good to Have

• Knowledge of Withholding Tax, Excise, and other regional tax structures
• Experience with SAFT, Intrastat, and e-Document Cockpit reporting
• Basic ABAP debugging skills for issue resolution in tax-related processes
• Exposure to global tax compliance frameworks and multi-country rollouts
• Background in finance or accounting domains
  
  

Educational Qualification

• BE / BTech / MCA / MTech / MBA / CA / ICWA or equivalent
