Good-to-Have
• SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Data Intelligence, or SAP Data Services knowledge.
• Experience with machine learning, data science practices, and integrating them into data pipelines.
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and how they integrate with SAP DataSphere for reporting and analytics.
• Understanding of Agile or DevOps methodologies and experience in working in agile project teams.
• Knowledge of data lakes, big data technologies, and advanced analytics.
SN Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
• Implementation and Configuration:
o Lead the implementation and configuration of SAP DataSphere for data integration, orchestration, and governance across cloud and on-premises environments.
o Design and implement data workflows, pipelines, and processing tasks to integrate and manage data from various sources, such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, third-party cloud systems, and legacy applications.
o Configure and customize SAP DataSphere components to meet specific business requirements, ensuring seamless integration with existing IT landscapes.
• Data Integration & Orchestration:
o Develop and manage data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL/ELT) data from different sources into SAP DataSphere.
o Build, schedule, and orchestrate data workflows to automate the movement of data between systems while ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
o Collaborate with data engineering teams to design and implement scalable data architectures in SAP DataSphere, enabling efficient data processing.
• Data Governance & Security:
o Implement data governance practices within SAP DataSphere, including data lineage, data cataloging, metadata management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
o Define and enforce data security policies within SAP DataSphere to ensure data privacy and integrity, while managing access controls for sensitive information.
o Monitor data quality and apply data cleansing, transformation, and enrichment rules to improve data accuracy and consistency.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
o Work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and IT teams to understand data requirements and design solutions that support data-driven decision-making and analytics.
o Provide training and documentation to business users and technical teams on how to use SAP DataSphere effectively for data integration, reporting, and governance.
o Support cross-functional teams in resolving data-related issues, troubleshooting errors, and ensuring smooth operation of data workflows.
• Analytics & Reporting:
o Collaborate with teams to integrate SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP HANA, or other BI tools with SAP DataSphere for reporting, visualization, and advanced analytics.
o Design and implement processes that allow end-users to access data for self-service analytics while ensuring proper data governance and security.
• Optimization & Troubleshooting:
o Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines, workflows, and data processing tasks to ensure high availability, scalability, and low-latency data operations.
o Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, system errors, and performance bottlenecks within SAP DataSphere.
