Job Title: Senior Sales Trainer
Job Location: Ahmedabad
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Timings: 04:00 AM to 01:00 PM
Industry Domain: B2B Logistics in Australia
Experience Required: 10+ years of overall sales experience (including 3–5 years dedicated experience as a Sales Trainer / Coach)
About the Role
NSEG is looking for a seasoned, operationally grounded Senior Sales Trainer based at our Ahmedabad office to lead capability development for our Australian B2B outbound sales force.
This role goes far beyond generic classroom theory. You will immerse yourself in our logistics operations, freight workflows, and Australian business nuances to diagnose performance gaps with surgical precision. Operating with full backing and budget from leadership—including access to external courses, specialist procurement, and department-level trainer hires—you will build structured intervention roadmaps with strict execution deadlines.
If your background is in retail sales or field visits (F2F/physical meetings), this role is not suitable. We require an expert in high-velocity, international outbound voice processes who knows how to break down cold calling, phone-based objection handling, and pipeline discipline.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Immersion & Targeted Execution Plans
- Process Mastery: Learn NSEG's business model, Australian freight/trucking logistics operations, rate cards, and transit workflows inside out.
- Gap Analysis & Roadmaps: Perform diagnostic call audits to identify exact bottlenecks across outbound prospecting, value propositions, and closing.
- Execution Plans with Deadlines: Establish clear, time-bound improvement plans for underperforming reps with measurable weekly milestones.
- L&D Resource Scaling: Recommend and deploy third-party training courses, propose hires for domain-specific Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and build requirements for sub-department trainers as the floor scales.
2. Tactical Phone Coaching & Rep Development
- Call Auditing & Deep Dives: Review recorded and live outbound calls to evaluate pitch clarity, rate negotiations, Australian business etiquette, and objection handling.
- 1:1 & Group Sessions: Conduct regular 1:1 turnaround coaching, floor huddles, and intensive mock call sessions.
- Nurture Over Churn: Build targeted remedial programs, focused practice tasks, and accountability frameworks to bring struggling reps up to standard.
- Peer Learning: Extract successful conversion techniques and negotiation tactics from top performers to standardize across the broader floor.
3. Pipeline Discipline & Revenue Quality
- Activity & Math Rigor: Coach reps on fundamental activity metrics—daily cold call targets, talk time, connection-to-lead ratios, and follow-up cadences.
- CRM Hygiene & Task Governance: Enforce strict adherence to CRM note-taking, pipeline tagging, and timely task execution to eliminate lead decay.
- Strategic Deal Qualification: Train reps to target high-retention, recurring B2B freight accounts, steering them away from high-risk spot deals that show short-term volume but cause operational churn.
4. Documentation, LMS Management & Floor Cadence
- Playbook & Document Development: Build and maintain training manuals, outbound scripts, objection battle cards, SOPs, and logistics-specific pitch guides.
- LMS Maintenance: Structure, update, and manage the Learning Management System (LMS) with assessments, modules, and onboarding roadmaps.
- Floor Meetings & Alignment: Lead regular floor standups and align weekly with operations and sales leadership on team conversion metrics and training ROI.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ Years of Total Sales Experience: Hands-on history in high-tempo B2B outbound sales, inside sales, and cold calling, which must include 3–5 years of dedicated experience as a Sales Trainer / Coach.
- International Voice Focus: Proven track record in phone-based outbound calling environments catering to Western markets (Australia, US, or UK).
- Strict Process Match: Experience must be rooted in B2B inside sales/call centers. Candidates with backgrounds restricted to physical field meetings, direct retail, or counter sales will not be considered.
- Australian Market Exposure: Prior exposure to the Australian B2B landscape (understanding business hours, tone, gatekeeper navigation, and commercial etiquette) is a strong advantage.
- Systems & Documentation Rigor: Practical experience maintaining an LMS, drafting training SOPs, and running CRM-driven audits.
- Shift Readiness: Absolute willingness and ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad from 4:00 AM to 1:00 PM IST.
- Perks & Benefits:Accident Insurance
- Alternate Saturdays Off & Alternate Saturdays half day working
- Best work culture
