Role Overview
We are looking for a driven and performance-oriented Senior Sales Officer to manage territory growth and strengthen our distribution network across multiple regions in India. This role is ideal for an experienced FMCG sales professional who can deliver strong business results, expand market share, and build long-term customer relationships.
Location: Multiple locations across India, including Kolkata, Gurgaon, Chennai, Penjerla, Bangalore, and Mumbai. Specific territories include Nadia, Kakinada, Nizamabad, Surat, Midnapur, Patna, Hyderabad, Jabalpur, and Madurai.
Reporting To: District Manager
Key Responsibilities
Territory & Business Management
- Drive sales performance and achieve assigned territory targets
- Develop and strengthen the distribution structure to maximize market reach
- Execute territory coverage plans and recommend improvements where needed
Distributor & Channel Management (RDS & RDSSM)
- Manage distributor ROI and Joint Business Planning (JBP) initiatives
- Build and enhance distributor infrastructure capabilities
- Lead objective setting, performance management, and development of RSR/CAT teams
Sales Execution & Growth
- Acquire new customers and expand business within existing accounts
- Identify opportunities to introduce new products and expand product lines
- Negotiate, prepare quotations, and close sales effectively
Customer Relationship Management
- Schedule and conduct regular meetings with new and existing clients
- Provide product information, support, and solutions to drive sales
- Strengthen long-term relationships to increase market share
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and performance
- Prepare and submit reports, including expense reports and sales updates
- Identify challenges in the field and recommend actionable solutions
Market Intelligence & Collaboration
- Share market insights and competitor activities to support business planning
- Collaborate with internal teams to achieve sales objectives
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
- Experience: 5–8 years of experience in FMCG sales
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Ability to manage territory operations independently
