Hiring: Senior Sales Manager – Educational Publishing
Location: Kolkata
CTC: As per experience
Reporting To: Head – Sales / Business Head
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Sales Manager to lead regional sales operations for our educational products, including books, e-learning solutions, and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and manage regional sales operations to achieve business targets
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies
- Lead, mentor, and recruit Area Sales Managers and sales teams
- Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, distributors, and key stakeholders
- Monitor sales performance, collections, and customer satisfaction
- Prepare and submit MIS reports, forecasts, and performance updates
- Handle escalations and ensure smooth execution of orders and payments
- Plan and coordinate marketing activities, seminars, and product promotions
- Manage operations across multiple states (West Bengal, Assam, Jharkhand) with extensive travel
Requirements
- Graduate (mandatory)
- Minimum 8+ years of sales experience in the education / publishing industry
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Strong knowledge of regional markets (at least 2 states)
- Established network with schools and distributors
