Position: Senior Sales Manager – Solar EPC Project Sales
Department: Renewable Energy – Sales
Role Overview :-
We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Manager – Solar EPC Project Sales to drive direct sales of rooftop and ground-mounted solar EPC projects. The role involves managing the complete project sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure while coordinating closely with engineering and execution teams.
This position requires proven experience in independently closing Solar EPC projects across commercial, industrial (C&I), and large-scale segments.
Key Responsibilities :-
- Drive direct sales of rooftop and ground-mounted Solar EPC projects.
- Manage end-to-end sales lifecycle: lead generation, site discussions, proposal development, techno-commercial negotiations, and contract closure.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across C&I, institutional, and large-scale segments.
- Lead EPC contract negotiations covering scope, pricing, timelines, and payment terms.
- Work with engineering and design teams to ensure technical feasibility and commercial viability.
- Achieve assigned sales targets, order book value, and revenue goals.
- Manage key accounts to ensure repeat business and client satisfaction.
- Track market trends, competitor strategies, and EPC pricing benchmarks.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline reporting and forecasts.
- Lead and mentor the project sales team.
Qualifications & Experience :-
- 8–10 years of direct Solar EPC project sales experience (Mandatory).
- Hands-on experience in rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects.
- Proven B2B / C&I / institutional project sales experience.
- Track record of handling Solar EPC portfolios ranging from 500 MW to 1 GW.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- MBA in Marketing / Business Administration (Preferred).
Required Skills :-
- Strong techno-commercial understanding of Solar EPC projects.
- Expertise in EPC project sales (not product sales).
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage long sales cycles and close high-value projects.
- Leadership capability with experience managing sales teams.
