We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile Senior Sales Manager to join our dynamic team in Udyog Vihar-1, Gurgaon. This pivotal role goes beyond traditional sales, demanding a strategic leader capable of driving significant revenue growth in both sea and air freight (import/export), while also cultivating a robust global agent network. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented professional with a proven track record in B2B sales, key account management, and an in-depth understanding of complex logistics operations.
This unique position requires a professional who can not only excel in aggressive target achievement and market expansion but also possesses a distinct acumen for generalist HR functions. You will be instrumental in identifying new market opportunities, crafting tailored logistics solutions for clients, and ensuring seamless cross-functional collaboration. Your expertise in managing and developing global agent relationships will be critical in strengthening our trade lanes and expanding our international footprint.
Beyond sales, this role encompasses significant responsibilities in manpower planning, recruitment, performance management, and ensuring statutory HR compliance. Key Responsibilities
• Drive aggressive B2B sales for Sea Freight (FCL & LCL) and Air Freight (Import & Export) across defined trade lanes, consistently achieving and exceeding ambitious sales targets and revenue generation goals.
• Develop, manage, and strengthen relationships with global agents for defined markets, fostering robust partnerships to enhance trade lane performance and market reach.
• Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, designing and proposing value-added logistics solutions that align with customer needs and company offerings.
• Lead complex rate negotiations with carriers and agents, oversee contract management, and ensure strict compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
• Actively manage sales pipeline, nurture key accounts, and build strong, lasting relationships with shippers and consignees to drive customer loyalty and retention.
• Oversee generalist HR functions including manpower planning, recruitment (senior, middle, junior levels), performance management, learning & development, employee engagement, compensation & benefits, and statutory compliances.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, customer service, and other teams to implement customer logistics plans, optimize intercompany processes, and achieve targets for cost, speed, and sustainability.
• Develop and execute strategic pricing strategies, maintain P&L awareness, conduct market mapping, and provide analytical insights to inform business decisions.
