Unico Connect is hiring a senior sales hunter to build our India business from the ground up. This is a 0-to-1 role — you will be the first dedicated sales hire for the Indian market.
What this means: No inherited pipeline. No inbound leads. No BDR team. No marketing engine. You find the deals, you run the meetings, you close the contracts.
Who we need: Someone who has already taken an IT services company (0–100 people) from near-zero to ₹8Cr+ / $1M+ in revenue. You’ve sold custom software development, AI-led application development, consultation, fixed-scope projects, and resource augmentation to Indian businesses. You know what it takes to sell when no one knows your company’s name.
This is not for SaaS sellers, product sellers, or account managers who’ve only grown existing books. This is for closers who build from nothing.
What You'll Do
- Build the entire India sales pipeline from scratch — outbound, LinkedIn, events, referrals
- Run consultative sales meetings with startup founders, IT managers, product managers, directors, and CXOs
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting → discovery → scoping → proposal → close
- Sell AI-led services alongside custom software — help clients adopt AI automation, integrate AI into existing products, and build new AI-led applications
- Scope and price engagements (consultation, fixed-scope, resource augmentation, AI integration) with engineering team support
- Hit Year 1 revenue target: ₹4–5Cr ($500K–$600K) in closed new business
- Grow accounts post-sale — turn first projects into long-term partnerships
- Build your personal brand on LinkedIn and at industry events
What You Must Bring
- 7–12 years selling IT services — custom software, web/mobile apps, design, product dev, DevOps, AI-led development, consultation, or resource augmentation
- Proven 0-to-1 journey — personally helped an IT services company (0–100 people) scale from near-zero to $1M+
- Minimum $50K / ₹40L average deal size
- Active LinkedIn presence — SSI 60+, regular content, 3,000+ relevant connections
- Exceptional English communication — articulate, confident, persuasive (Hindi a plus)
- Professional, polished presence — comfortable presenting to CXOs and founders
- Hunter mentality — cold outreach energizes you, not scares you
- Consultative seller — can discuss tech architecture, SDLC, agile, cloud platforms, and AI/ML technologies (LLMs, agentic workflows, RAG systems) at a conversational level
- CRM proficiency (HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive)
