As a Senior Sales Executive in the freight forwarding industry, you will play a pivotal role in driving our sales growth and expanding our customer base. Your primary responsibility will be to generate new business opportunities, build strong relationships with key clients, and achieve revenue targets. This role requires a candidate with a proven track record of successful sales performance in the freight forwarding and logistics sector.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales Strategy and Planning:


1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and increase market share.


2. Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify customer needs and formulate effective sales strategies.


3. Set clear sales targets and KPIs, tracking performance regularly to ensure objectives are met.


4. Identify potential customers and industry segments for targeted business development initiatives.


Business Development:


1. Generate leads and actively prospect new clients to expand our customer base.


2. Conduct persuasive sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and successfully close deals with prospective clients.


3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design customized logistics solutions that cater to customer requirements.


4. Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize revenue from existing customers.


Customer Relationship Management:


1. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.


2. Gain an in-depth understanding of customer needs, provide effective solutions, and promptly address any concerns.


3. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the engagement.


4. Engage in regular customer visits, actively participate in industry events, and represent the company professionally.


Sales Performance and Reporting:


1. Regularly track and report sales activities, pipeline progress, and results.


2. Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.


3. Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and comprehensive reports for management review.


4. Provide timely sales reports, presentations, and valuable market feedback.


Team Collaboration and Leadership:


1. Collaborate closely with the sales team, operations, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of sales activities.


2. Provide guidance, support, and mentoring to junior sales team members.


3. Share industry knowledge, best practices, and sales techniques to enhance team performance.


Skills and Qualifications:


- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Proven track record of successful freight forwarding and logistics sales performance.

- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a talent for building and maintaining strong client relationships.

- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and consistently achieve sales targets.

- Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings and industry events.
