Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a Senior Sales Engineer – Pharma Machinery & Process Equipment. The role involves identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, managing the full sales cycle, and promoting Propack’s processing systems and equipment to pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical clients. The Senior Sales Engineer will conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations, understand client processes, and propose customized solutions in collaboration with internal design and automation teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing technical and commercial proposals, responding to RFQs, and negotiating contracts in line with company policies. The role also includes providing pre- and post-sales technical support, coordinating FAT/SAT activities with customers, gathering market intelligence, and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships to achieve sales targets.
Qualifications
- Proven Sales Engineering experience in pharma machinery, process equipment, or related capital equipment, with strong skills in Sales Engineering and Technical Support.
- Demonstrated success in B2B Sales and business development, including pipeline management, opportunity qualification, and deal closure.
- Excellent Communication skills (written and verbal) for client interactions, technical presentations, and proposal writing.
- Strong Customer Service orientation with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or Pharmaceutical Engineering (or related technical discipline); advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Solid understanding of pharmaceutical / biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes, cGMP, and regulatory expectations related to process equipment.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and technical specifications, and to translate client requirements into engineered solutions.
- Willingness to travel for client visits, site surveys, FAT/SAT, and industry events as required.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, MS
