About Position
We are looking for a highly skilled
Ruby on Rails (RoR) Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable web applications. In this role, you will work on production-grade systems, drive architectural decisions, and ensure code quality and performance across the platform

What You’ll Do
- Design & Develop Applications: Build and maintain scalable backend systems using Ruby on Rails, following best practices in design and architecture.
- Architectural Ownership: Drive technical design decisions, ensuring modular, maintainable, and high-performing codebases.
- Database Optimization: Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexing strategies using PostgreSQL/MySQL.
- API Development: Develop secure, scalable, and versioned RESTful APIs.
- Code Quality & Testing: Implement robust testing strategies using RSpec/Minitest, ensuring high code coverage and reliability.
- Production Support: Troubleshoot and resolve live production issues, participate in on-call rotations, and ensure system stability.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Lead code reviews, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Release Management: Manage deployments, versioning, and CI/CD processes using Git-based workflows.
Expertise You’ll Bring - Expert-level proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails
- Strong hands-on experience with Rails 6.x / 7.x (latest preferred)
- Deep understanding of:
- Rails internals, MVC architecture, ActiveRecord, and callbacks
- Service objects, concerns, background jobs, and modular design patterns
- Advanced experience with PostgreSQL / MySQL, including:
- Query optimization
- Indexing and performance tuning
- Strong expertise in testing frameworks:
- RSpec / Minitest
- Test strategy, automation, and coverage
- Solid understanding of:
- RESTful API design
- API versioning and security best practices
- Proven experience managing production systems, including:
- Debugging live issues
- Handling on-call responsibilities
- Proficiency in Git, code reviews, and release management
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or Software Technology or equivalent education
