About the Role :-
We are looking for a highly capable Senior Ruby on Rails Developer with experience buildingscalable web applications and API-driven integrations. You will work on large-scale SaaS products,backend systems, and customer integrations in a fast-paced, distributed environment. This rolerequires strong technical ownership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to mentordevelopers while delivering reliable, production-grade solutions.
Key Responsibilities :-
Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails- Build robust backend systems for SaaS platforms and high-traffic applications- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and third-party integrations- Work closely with product, frontend, and distributed teams to deliver features end-to-end- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues- Participate in Agile development processes and sprint planning- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decision-making- Ensure performance, scalability, and security of applications in production
Required Skills & Experience :-
Strong experience in software development with a focus on Ruby on Rails- Proven experience building and scaling production-grade web applications- Solid understanding of REST APIs, backend architecture, and system design- Experience working in Agile environments, preferably on large-scale SaaS products- Ability to quickly gain fluency in new technologies and adapt in an evolving tech environment- Strong problem-solving skills with a broad technical knowledge base- Demonstrated success in mentoring developers and guiding engineering best practices- Clear communication skills and the ability to build high-trust relationships with teams andcustomers- A strong history of past projects, including notable successes and lessons learned- Demonstrated interest in improving engineering craft using AI tools and modern developmentpractices.
Integration Experience (Mandatory) :-
Hands-on experience building integrations using REST APIs- Experience working with third-party systems and external APIs- Understanding of authentication, webhooks, and data synchronization workflows- Experience with API-based integrations with QuickBooks (QBO), Xero, or similar financial systemsis highly valuable
Work Requirements :- Comfortable working in a distributed team environment- Must be able to provide a minimum of 4 hours overlap with Pacific Standard Time (PST)- Ability to collaborate effectively with international teams and customers across time zon
