Role Description The Senior Resident Surgery role is a full-time, on-site position based at Sarvesh Healthcity in Hisar. The professional in this role will manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care, perform and assist in surgical procedures under appropriate supervision, and participate in daily ward rounds and outpatient clinics. Responsibilities include assessing patients, formulating treatment plans, coordinating with anesthesiology, nursing, and other specialties, and ensuring accurate documentation of clinical findings and procedures. The Senior Resident Surgery will contribute to emergency and trauma care, participate in case discussions and morbidity meetings, and support clinical teaching for junior residents and interns. The role also involves adhering to hospital protocols, infection control standards, and ethical guidelines, while actively engaging in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Completed MBBS and MS/MD/DNB in General Surgery or equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification.
- Valid medical registration with appropriate national or state medical council and eligibility to practice in the region.
- Demonstrated proficiency in common surgical procedures, perioperative care, and management of surgical emergencies.
- Strong patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and evidence-based practice skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary clinical teams and patients’ families.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments, manage multiple cases, and respond promptly to emergency calls.
- Commitment to ethical medical practice, patient safety, and infection control protocols.
- Experience in a tertiary-care or high-volume surgical setting is preferred; teaching and mentoring experience is an advantage.
