Job Summary (List Format) – Senior Resident Engineer (Cohesity Data Protection & Infrastructure)
- Serve as the primary technical resource for a strategic enterprise client, embedded as a trusted advisor.
- Own end-to-end delivery of Cohesity-based data protection and infrastructure projects.
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot S3-compatible object storage environments (e.g., Cohesity SmartFiles, MinIO, Ceph).
- Provide expert-level administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) in large-scale, multi-node environments.
- Develop and troubleshoot API-driven workflows for data protection and storage integration (RESTful APIs, authentication).
- Apply foundational knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) to storage and backup network architecture.
- Understand and advise on node hardware architecture (AMD EPYC/Ryzen, NVMe configurations) in Cohesity deployments.
- Implement and validate Cohesity integrations for SAP HANA (Backint) and Oracle (SBT/RMAN) data protection workflows.
- (Preferred) Support additional data protection platforms: NetApp, Pure Storage, NoSQL/modern databases.
- Lead weekly project status meetings and maintain project trackers for client engagements.
- Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) aligning project priorities and resolving escalations.
- Act as liaison between client and Cohesity internal teams (Engineering, Product, QA) for ongoing projects and feature requests.
- Produce detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and configuration guides.
- Ensure knowledge transfer and conduct formal handover of completed projects to Operations and client SRE teams.
- Maintain and update a shared knowledge base for client and Cohesity stakeholders.
- Present technical updates to both technical teams and executive leadership.
- Work independently to manage competing priorities and drive projects to successful closure.
- Requires 8+ years in enterprise infrastructure/storage/data protection roles and 3+ years hands-on with Cohesity or similar platforms.
- Strong communication skills and experience producing high-quality technical documentation.
- Cohesity or equivalent vendor certifications are a plus.
