Company Description Athena Behavioral Health is a growing network of mental health, psychiatry, and de-addiction hospitals in India, with five facilities across Gurugram, Delhi, Noida, and Guwahati. The organization provides inpatient, outpatient, residential rehabilitation, psychiatric care, and addiction treatment, supported by specialist teams available 24/7.
Role Description The Psychiatrist will perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnose mental health and substance use disorders, and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for inpatient, outpatient, and residential rehabilitation clients. Responsibilities include prescribing and monitoring psychopharmacological interventions, providing psychotherapy or supportive counseling where appropriate, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, counselors, nurses, and social workers. The role involves regular review of treatment progress, participation in clinical meetings, documentation in line with regulatory standards, and contribution to clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives. The Psychiatrist is also expected to engage in patient and family education, help reduce stigma around mental health and addiction, and support trauma-informed, gender-sensitive care.

Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge in Medicine and Psychiatry, with the ability to integrate medical and psychiatric perspectives in patient care.
- Demonstrated expertise in Psychiatric Care and Mental Health management, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of common and complex psychiatric conditions.
- Clinical experience or interest in Adolescent Psychiatry and broader Psychiatry across the lifespan, with sensitivity to developmental and psychosocial factors.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) with MD/DNB in Psychiatry from an accredited institution; valid medical registration and eligibility to practice psychiatry in India.
- Experience in inpatient and/or residential settings, preferably in addiction treatment or de-addiction programs.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, with strong communication, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills.
