Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Senior Resident – General Surgery position at Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, located in Karnataka, India. The Senior Resident will assist in patient care by performing surgeries under supervision, participating in ward rounds, and providing pre- and post-operative care. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring medical students and junior residents, contributing to academic activities, and actively participating in clinical research to enhance medical knowledge and practices. The Senior Resident will ensure adherence to best practices in patient safety and ethical medical conduct while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Expertise in General Surgery, including surgical procedures and patient management.
- Proficiency in clinical examination, diagnosis, and creating comprehensive treatment plans.
- Strong mentorship skills for guiding medical students and junior residents in clinical and academic settings.
- Capability to engage in clinical research and contribute to academic publications.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to fostering ethical and compassionate patient care.
- MD/MS/DNB in General Surgery from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the relevant medical council in India.
- Experience in teaching and clinical research is an added advantage.
