Job Description
The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing Cell Therapy GMP operations, maintaining the cGMP facility and properly executing procedures following SOPs and cGMP requirements for the manufacture, testing, and release of cell-based products for patient administration. The candidate will be a part of a supportive R&D team dynamically involved in designing cell therapy based products, writing projects, manuscripts and securing national/ international grants.
Responsibilities
- Plan and perform all necessary aspects of maintenance of animal cell lines, primary cell lines, CAR T cells, clinical grade MSCs, including MSCs isolation from different tissue sources, their differentiation, characterization, banking, maintenance and optimizations.
- Assessment of functional viability of cells using Molecular Biology techniques, Flow Cytometry, Western Blots, RT-PCR based methods and imaging techniques such as Fluorescence Microscopy.
- CAR T cells development, characterization and maintenance.
- Cell culture QC and analysis: cell density, cell viability, growth profiling, purity and cell surface marker expression
- Tissue engineering activities including biopolymeric scaffold designing, preparation and characterization.
- Perform support operations described in standard operating procedures and batch records.
- Writing manufacturing operating procedures that are technically sound, promote effective and efficient operations, and comply with cGMP requirement.
- Completing documentation required by process transfer protocols, validation protocols, standard operating procedures, and batch records.
- Performing tasks in a manner consistent with the safety policies, quality systems, and GMP requirements.
- Maintain laboratory notebooks, GMP documents, logs, and computer databases.
- Ability to work and maintain strong relationships with department managers, members of your team and other cross functional teams.
- Capacity to work under pressure and comply with deadlines.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in relevant life science field (Biotechnology, biological sciences, biomedical sciences or biochemistry, or a closely related subject) with 2-3 years of experience is mandatory.
- Freshers will not be considered.
- Prior experience in academic/ industry environment essential
- Proficient in Animal cell culture processes, Molecular biology techniques, Primary cell line handling and maintenance
- Experience in conducting focused literature searches on PubMed, Cochrane or similar literature databases
- Clear understanding of Scientific writing, including familiarity with writing scientific papers, projects and grants
- A strong work ethic and a solution-focused attitude combined with intellectual curiosity and creativity
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in teams in a fast-paced, dynamic and creative environment.
