Job Description
Senior Research Associate-In-Vitro6. To identify and communicate incidents Understand and implement new experiments as per Customer requirement to answer in vitro Biology query to
- support small molecule drug discovery and development projects from various global customers.
- Attend Customer call to understand the requirement, propose study design and costing details to your reporting
- manager.
- Develop, optimize, and validate biophysical, biochemical, and cell-based assay platforms for the hit identification, ead optimization and functional characterization of small molecules.
- Ensure to coach your team member during the above process.
- Robust and high-quality assays with efficient use of automation and instrumentation will be an advantage.
- Work with different biological assays such as GPCR, Kinase and MOA studies, offering integrated drug discovery
- support alongside chemistry and support functions for multiple client-based projects.
- Help to develop diverse In-Vitro target/mechanism assays, amenable for high throughput screening, surrounding different key cellular processes and signal transduction pathways.
- Strong experience of working with small-molecule drug discovery from a CRO/Drug Discovery company with an ability to efficiently handle time-bound and service-based projects.
- Should have strong technical knowledge with exceptional attention to detail.
- Understanding of basic molecular biology, cell biology and biochemistry experiments will be an advantage.
- Broad research experience in cell-free and cell-based assay development using mentioned technology/platform viz. DELFIA® (Dissociation-Enhanced Lanthanide Fluorescent Immunoassay), Fluorescence, Fluorescence
- Polarisation (FP), Luminescence, TRF, TR-FRET & HTRF, Alpha Screen assays, Nano BRET, Electrochemiluminescence (ECL), Flow Cytometry, FLIPR, High content imaging, Live Cell Analysis. Knowledge on Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) technology will be an advantage.
- Experienced in development and validation of In-Vitro models for diverse diseases especially related to oncology, inflammation, immunology, neurology, metabolic disease etc.
- Experience working with board target classes -e.g., enzymes, GPCRs, transporters, ion channels, surface receptors, etc. across different therapeutic areas.
- Execute program objectives, meticulously record experimental data and observations on a timely basis in acceptable format, prepare technical reports, summaries, and quantitative and qualitative analyses in written form.
- Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in multiple geographies to design, plan and execute experiments that support research activities and project goals.
- Clearly communicate the status of projects, challenges, results, and proposed paths forward across internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in cross-functional team activities, regularly add value to research projects through creative ideas.
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Work well within a fast-paced, dynamic, results- and team-oriented start-up environment. Ph.D. (Fresher) in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Microbiology/Lifesciences from reputed University or M.Sc (Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Microbiology/LifesciencesFull time
