Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Research and Development Engineer role based in Hyderabad. The Senior R&D Engineer will design, prototype, and optimize advanced Audio AI and analytics algorithms, with a focus on noise cancellation, speech enhancement, and related technologies. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting applied research, translating concepts into production-ready components, collaborating with cross-functional teams on product requirements, and contributing to architectural and design decisions. The role involves building and validating models, implementing and maintaining test frameworks, analyzing performance metrics, and iterating on solutions based on experimental results. The engineer will also support productization efforts, documentation, and mentoring of junior team members.
Audio AI PhD Engineer:
a) Working on Design, Development, testing and deployment of different speech enhancement products using frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow.
b) Working on enhancing existing speech enhancement products w.r.t performance, low latency and less computation.
c) Work on improvement of adapting the model to multi channels.
d) Should be self-motivated to learn and explore new areas and able to work independently and contribute.
Experience:
a) Good understanding of signal processing, machine learning.
b) Hands-on experience Deep Learning techniques like CNNs, RNNs, LSTMs,
Transformers etc., for speech processing is essential.
c) Good understanding on: Linear algebra, Optimization techniques, Statistics
and pattern recognition
d) Minimum 2 years of work experience in Audio/Speech domain
e) Good programming skills in C/C++, Python, AI/ML frameworks.
f) End-End solution building - data requirements; model training and defining evals
Qualifications:
3-5 years of working experience with a PhD
