Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Rajkot for a Senior Research and Development Engineer. The role involves leading R&D projects focused on polycarbonate and acrylic sheet products, from concept through to prototyping and validation. The engineer will conduct in-depth research, design experiments, and perform testing to improve material performance, product durability, and manufacturing efficiency. Daily responsibilities include analyzing data, refining product specifications, collaborating with production, quality, and sales teams, and preparing technical documentation and reports. The role also includes monitoring market and technology trends, supporting product launches, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering function.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Research and Development (R&D), Research, and Product Development skills.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, including data interpretation and problem-solving abilities.
- Candidates should possess hands-on Testing experience, including designing test protocols and validating product performance.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of polymer materials, plastics processing, or sheet extrusion technologies.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in engineering tools (e.g., CAD software, simulation or analysis tools) and basic statistical methods.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and mentor junior engineers.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Engineering, or a related field; experience in plastics or building materials is highly beneficial.
