Role Summary
The Chemicals Research Specialist will support senior researchers and industry leaders at ARA's Client in developing insightful reports and conducting client research projects. They will lead small research initiatives and contribute to complex projects, focusing on key issues affecting the global chemical industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead small research projects and contribute to complex initiatives.
- Assist in developing thought-provoking insights through market analysis.
- Analyze large datasets using statistical techniques and data visualization tools.
- Update proprietary in-house models and provide results to the practice.
- Develop compelling business narratives alongside research leads.
- Present key findings in a structured and concise manner.
- Critique industry sources and provide informed insights.
- Compile reports with clear storylines and actionable results.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering.
- 3-8 years of business experience in consulting or research.
- 1-2 years of experience in Oil & Gas Industry research is required.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data visualization tools.
- Ability to conduct secondary research and market analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- PG degree in business (MBA) or economics.
- Experience in the chemical or technology industries.
- Familiarity with digitalization and energy transition topics.
- Knowledge of oil/gas/refining industries.
