Position: - Senior Quality Engineer
Experience : 2+ Years in Battery Manufacturing field
Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer who will be responsible for managing and strengthening the complete quality function within the organization. The candidate should have hands-on experience in battery manufacturing quality processes and should be capable of handling team management, quality monitoring, and process improvement across incoming, in-process, and final quality stages.
The role requires close coordination with production and management to ensure consistent product quality and process compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee complete quality operations including:
- IQC (Incoming Quality Control)
- IPQC (In-Process Quality Control)
- FQC / PDI (Final Quality Control & Pre-Dispatch Inspection)
- Ensure 100% PDI compliance before dispatch of products
- Monitor product quality as per approved specifications, SOPs, and quality standards
- Lead and manage the quality team, ensuring proper execution of inspection and testing activities
- Train, guide, and support the quality team for continuous improvement
- Identify defects, process deviations, and quality concerns, and ensure timely corrective actions
- Coordinate with Production, PPC, Stores, and Management for quality-related improvements
- Maintain quality reports, inspection records, rejection data, and documentation
- Support root cause analysis and implementation of preventive and corrective actions
- Ensure proper implementation of quality systems and process discipline across operations
- Escalate critical quality concerns to Management with clear observations and recommendations
Skills Required
- Strong understanding of quality control and inspection processes
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related field
- Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and checklists
- High attention to detail and independent decision-making
- Good documentation and reporting skills
- Clear communication with shop floor and management
