Position Overview
Telna is seeking an experienced QA Manager to lead the quality assurance function across our product and solution landscape. This role is responsible for managing the QA team, defining and executing quality strategies, and ensuring products meet high standards of quality, reliability, and performance.
The successful candidate will partner closely with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and Operations to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle, drive continuous improvement, and support timely, high-quality releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the QA team, including coaching, performance management, and skills development.
- Define, implement, and continuously improve QA strategies, processes, standards, and documentation.
- Oversee manual and automated testing activities across the product lifecycle.
- Monitor quality metrics, defect trends, and release readiness, and provide clear reporting to leadership.
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure quality is built into product design, development, and delivery.
- Conduct risk assessments, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, industry best practices, and company quality requirements.
- Evaluate and introduce tools, technologies, and methodologies that improve QA effectiveness and efficiency.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging QA practices, and relevant regulatory considerations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven experience leading QA teams in fast-paced software or technology environments.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing frameworks, and defect management processes.
- Hands-on experience building and managing manual and automated test strategies using tools such as Karate, Testmo, or similar platforms.
- Experience using AI-driven tools and approaches to improve test automation, test coverage, defect detection, and QA efficiency.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
- Knowledge of performance, load, and security testing practices.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and traditional software delivery methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with cloud-based testing environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with performance testing and monitoring tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Experience with database testing and data validation tools, including SQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with CI/CT tools such as Jenkins and Git.
- Experience with mobile application testing on iOS and Android.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis or quality control techniques.
