Role: Founding Quality Engineering Lead (QA Automation + Product Quality)

About the role
We are seeking a highly technical, product-minded Quality Engineering Lead to help us build reliable, scalable web and mobile products.
This role combines product quality ownership, exploratory testing, automation engineering, and process design. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to improve release confidence, reduce regressions, and establish scalable quality practices as our products evolve.
This is a full-time, fully remote role.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement quality engineering processes across web, mobile, APIs, and integrations.
- Perform exploratory, regression, integration, and functional testing across products.
- Design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks and workflows.
- Collaborate with engineers to improve test coverage and release confidence.
- Help establish quality metrics, release workflows, and CI/CD validation processes.
- Identify product risks, edge cases, and reliability concerns proactively.
- Support engineers in writing and maintaining automated tests.
- Use AI-assisted tools to improve testing efficiency and automation workflows.
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to improve overall product quality and release speed.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in QA automation, SDET, or quality engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and automation strategies.
- Experience testing APIs, web applications, and mobile applications.
- Ability to write and maintain automated tests.
- Experience working with Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript-based applications.
- Strong understanding of SQL and database validation.
- Ability to read and understand application code.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
